The Manhattan lift is an office procedure that is performed under local anesthesia that provides long term results but reduces the risks associated with conventional facelift surgery. Almost anybody can undergo cosmetic improvement whether by invasive or non-invasive means. The only exception to that would be during pregnancy when no cosmetic treatments should be done.

If you have a medical condition that may be contraindication for surgery, you still are eligible for cosmetic improvement with lasers or with other non-invasive procedures.

Some surgical procedures may require recovery time of a few days to a week from work. Occasionally, you may wish to have some extra time off to relax and recover from your procedure. In those cases, Dr. Dagan will ensure to provide a physician letter to your employer that will maintain the confidentiality of your treatment and your privacy. Physician letters do not disclose the type of procedure you had in accordance with the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the common rule law of Privacy and Confidentiality.

So, the letter to your employer will not contain any information regarding your procedure or treatment.

Arnica (also referred to as "leopards bane") Arnica Montana is made from the flower of a plant which has been used for hundreds of years to treat inflammation and reduce bruising and swelling.

Arnica is the best of all to prepare the patient and to arrest excessive bleeding. It also helps to remove post surgery complications nicely. When used around the time of surgery, Arnica can reportedly reduce bruising and swelling.

The body uses a lot of vitamin C to make connective tissue and high levels of the vitamin speed the healing of surgical wounds.

Bromelain is extracted from pineapples. Bromelain is a natural anti-inflammatory. Bromelain brings temporary relief from inflammation caused by arthritis, surgery, injury, disease, or muscle soreness. It also reduces the numbness, tingling and aching.

Bromelain speeds up the body's healing process. Doctor Dagan recommends that his patients take bromelain before and after surgery to speed the healing process.
